This is my second time camping here, and I absolutely recommend it. The campsites and the shower and toilet area are always clean. Each site has its own cooking spot, fire area, dishwashing space, and a small private shower. Staff are really good and speak English, with some German too. The bar right by the river is really nice, with cold drinks and good food. Order the food as early as you can. You can also ask at reception about meat to cook yourself, they keep some game in the freezer, including zebra. I can’t comment on the chalets, though they look nice from the outside.

During my 65 days travelling in Africa, this was one of the very best places I stayed. The rooms are large, the kitchen is fully equipped, and we cooked a lovely dinner. The area is amazing and so is the staff. A fantastic stay all round.

We loved staying in a chalet tent on the island, where we could watch the hippos in the river. It was peaceful and so relaxing. The whole lodge area is beautiful.

The hosts made our stay especially memorable. Thanks to Alex, Georg, Justina, Tappa and everyone else. We’re already looking forward to seeing you again. The setting by the river is one of a kind, with lovely bungalows and a pool. Having sundowner drinks on the island bar terrace was unbeatable.
