We only booked one night, though I wish we’d made it two. After a day at Sossusvlei and Solitaire, the peaceful atmosphere was just what I wanted, and the staff were friendly. We didn’t book any excursions, but before dinner we saw a group enjoying a wine tasting. I’d definitely come back.

The glamping tents are a long way from the restaurant and bar, which was inconvenient, especially after dark. Fires aren’t allowed, so the tent area felt dark and short on atmosphere and comfort. The wine tastings and cheese platters also seemed extremely expensive for what we got. The biggest shock was being told out of nowhere that it would cost N$850 per person to see six rescue cheetahs in an enclosed camp being fed frozen chicken. Children under 13 were charged too, and nobody had told us the price beforehand. There was very little information about activities in general, which made planning frustrating. The lodge managers were unhelpful, came across as rude, and communicated poorly throughout our stay. The general staff were left to handle everything while the managers were nowhere to be seen. On our last evening, we even helped the staff serve dinner during a rainstorm. The lodge staff did their best for us, and we sincerely thank Rebekka, Billy, and Jonathan. Our time at Neuras Wine & Wildlife Estate was a huge disappointment and didn’t feel worth the money or time. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was clean, but there was no heat, and it got extremely cold overnight. When I asked for a heater, I was told they don't provide heating because of the electricity use at their solar farm. The room fell below 12 degrees, so I slept in a jumper, hat, and thermals. I think a tent might have been warmer. Dining is all outside under a veranda, with no heated indoor space. When it dropped to 10 degrees at night, we had dinner outside in our coats. The meal was passable, but probably one of the worst lodge meals we had. This wasn't a comfortable stay, and I wouldn't come back.

The service was top notch, and there are paid activities for cheetah feeding and wine tasting. There’s no signal in the area, so you have to rely on the resort WiFi. The location is about two hours from Deadvlei, which wasn’t ideal, and the rooms fell short of what I expected for the price. The soup at dinner was very salty.

We found this place disappointing, with high prices and staff who seemed uninterested. If you’re looking to visit a vineyard in Namibië, we’d recommend Otavi vineyard instead.
