The restaurant serves excellent food, with high-quality seafood, friendly service, and good value. Our dirty dishes sat there for over 20 minutes, though, despite there being only four covers and plenty of staff. Still worth a visit.

I had the ribeye steak for dinner at the restaurant at Flamingo Villas Boutique Hotel in Walvis Bay after meeting friends. It was full of flavour and cooked nicely, and the relaxed, elegant setting looks out over the lagoon. Ordering and waiting for the meal both took a bit too long, but it’s a lovely place for a well-prepared dinner with a view.

The lagoon setting was the highlight for me, especially the sunset views of flamingos in their natural habitat. Seeing them again in the morning was a unique treat. Flamingo Villas Boutique Hotel in Walvis Bay also has spacious, nicely appointed rooms that feel comfortable and elegant, with warm hospitality and thoughtful touches throughout. It’s a peaceful retreat and a memorable stay, especially for nature lovers.

Flamingo Hotel worked perfectly for our stop near Sandwich Harbour. Check-in and checkout were easy, there was secure parking, and the staff were kind. The restaurant was handy too, and Brandy was the BEST waitress! Walvis Bay felt more industrial than Swakopmund, which people had recommended to us, but it suited our plans.
