I’m disappointed by how my reservation inquiry was handled. I needed five rooms for nine people for an overnight stay in Walvis Bay and found the property on booking.com, then contacted them directly because I know the site takes a large fee. I asked whether they could match booking.com’s price, since paying more to book direct didn’t make sense, but their quote was about 15-20% higher. I explained that booking through the site means they lose a cut, while a direct booking at the same rate would let them keep the full amount. They said it was their standard rate and that they’d release the rooms if I didn’t want it. It seemed like an odd way to do business. I was ready to spend my money there, but I’ll go elsewhere because of this senseless approach.

The staff are always friendly and professional, ready to help with a smile, and there’s a night security guard in this safe area, which adds peace of mind. I’ve stayed at The Rez Guesthouse several times and it never disappoints. The cozy, welcoming rooms make me feel right at home. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Walvis Bay. It’s a real gem!
