Residency Hotel Lekki Lagos

It's easy to find, but the rooms are so expensive. I can't believe a 47k room doesn't include breakfast. The food prices are ridiculous too, way too high.

The food was fine, but nothing special. Breakfast usually comes to the room, though several times it arrived late or didn’t come at all. I also recommend fumigating the rooms, based on my experience in the one I stayed in. The hotel is easy to locate and well situated, but the ambience didn’t impress me. One or two people at the front desk were inhospitable, and having to leave your room key behind when you go out is odd. My stay was only fair. I had a better experience at the Ajao branch.

I came here to get some sleep, but couldn’t sleep through the night because the AC kept making a loud, strange noise. I reported it and asked to move rooms. They sent maintenance to check it, then the noise returned. I called again and maintenance came a second time, but it started up once more, getting so loud that I was awake all night. I also couldn’t lock the door from inside. They put me in one of their worst rooms, and the whole stay was horrible.

The outside of the hotel may put you off, but inside the quality is superb and you get real value for your money. The rooms are neat, the appliances all work perfectly, and there’s a filling complimentary breakfast too.
