Carlos was a lovely, friendly host, and we had a nice stay. The room was spacious, the kitchen area was well equipped, the AC worked strongly, and the Wi-Fi was very good. It’s an easy walk into the city center, and there are a couple of large supermarkets about 10 minutes away on foot. One frustrating thing: we thought we’d booked a room with hot water, but when we arrived Carlos said hot water had been removed from some room listings because of water heater problems. Check each room’s listing carefully to make sure hot water is definitely included.

Carlos and Marlies made us feel that our comfort really mattered throughout our two weeks at Casa Calala. They answered questions quickly and kindly, shared local information and trip ideas, and helped us make bookings. Our Spanish isn’t great, but we communicated in English and they were happy to help. The room was cleaned and the sheets and towels changed every few days at no extra cost. As a digital nomad staying somewhere for a while, I really appreciated that. Azucena, thanks for cleaning! The room was spacious and had a fan, with AC available for an extra fee. I liked having the option, since some nearby places don’t offer AC at all. Hot water was available here too, which isn’t universal in the area. The room, kitchen, and patio were all kept in very good condition, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The location gave us a quiet street without much traffic, while still being a short walk from the main spots. I also needed a place to work, and the room had one. There was a large table in the kitchen, which was in a covered outdoor area leading to a patio and a beautiful private garden. The internet was excellent for Zoom meetings, and although a network cable connection was possible, we didn’t need it. We had a great stay and highly recommend Casa Calala and its hosts. We were five friends and rented the two front apartments. They gave us a great base for enjoying Granada, with large rooms, very clean bathrooms, separate entrances, kitchens, dining tables, and a terrace. The apartments were cozy and spacious. Carlos and Marlies are amazing hosts. We loved it and will come back. Thanks, Carlos and Marlies!

Everything we needed was in the room, and it was very clean. The location is really central, and the host was super friendly and accommodating. Can recommend!

The host was so sweet, and the place was perfectly clean. Great location too. The bed and bathroom were really nice. Wi-Fi wasn’t very good and there wasn’t much to cook with, but honestly, who cares! 😉😉
