We booked through Hostelworld weeks ahead for Christmas, with the reservation confirmed and partly paid. When we arrived, someone at the hostel, apparently a guest, said they were full and the booking hadn’t come through. We showed the confirmation, and they contacted the owner. We were told to wait, then that person left. After more than an hour, we asked other guests who were leaving. One called the owner, who told us to wait another two hours. We said we would, since we wanted our money back if we couldn’t stay. The owner then said she’d arrive in ten minutes. When she got there, she said the hostel wasn’t open. We asked why she’d accepted our booking but got no answer. She said to request a refund from Hostelworld because she hadn’t received payment. Hostelworld did refund us. Before leaving, we made sure she cancelled the booking so we wouldn’t be charged a no-show fee, but she treated that as us being difficult and made things awkward. We had to find somewhere else at very short notice. It was a pretty bad situation, and I can’t recommend this place. Last we checked, they were still taking Hostelworld bookings, so don’t be fooled, this isn’t somewhere to stay.

The owners are warm and welcoming, and the place is clean and pretty. It’s the cheapest hostel, but the best. I highly recommend it.

We arrived in Granada without a reservation, and finding this place felt like luck from Los Angeles. The woman who greeted us found a room for me and my cousins with a private bathroom. The owner suggested places to eat and sent the hostel assistant along so we wouldn’t get lost. They also offered motorcycle rentals and tours that cost a third of what other agencies had first quoted. For our excursions, they lent us coolers and sun umbrellas too. The place is clean, has a great atmosphere, and the owner’s mother cared for us with all the love of a mother, as if we were her own children.

I spent a week in Granada and would recommend this hostel. It’s comfortable, in a quiet area, and I found the activities I wanted to do there. When I had an upset stomach, they helped me out. The rooms are comfortable, and they sell drinks. There’s internet access and a cat named Valentino. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

A relaxed place to stay in Granada, with spotless rooms and very affordable prices. The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful. You can rent scooters and use the kitchen freely. I highly recommend it.
