I appreciated that the hotel felt safe and quiet, and the rooms were nicely decorated. The beds weren’t as comfortable as I’d hoped, though, and the included breakfast was decent but pretty standard. At check-in, I felt a bit uncomfortable about the way my payment method was received. Since this was my second stay, I’d have liked a more welcoming, neutral response whether I paid by card or another method. We also ate at the hotel restaurant to avoid the busy crowds that weekend, but it fell short. The prices were relatively high and the food quality didn’t really match, so it’s hard to recommend. For the price, the experience felt more like paying for the property’s appearance than for standout comfort or service. It met the basics, but didn’t feel exceptional. I might look at nearby places with better value and a more consistently welcoming feel next time.

The breakfast was excellent, and the service was the best I had at any hotel in Nicaragua. It’s a peaceful place with a lovely inner courtyard, right in the heart of Leon.

The character of the place and the hospitality made this one of my favorite hotel stays. The building is beautiful from the street, with lots of history inside, and the atmosphere, food and service were all top-notch. If you’re visiting León, I’d say stay here. Miguel was the highlight for me. He was attentive every time, knew the restaurant menu well, and clearly wanted to make our stay a great one. He deserves recognition. A gentleman at reception welcomed us warmly too, though I unfortunately didn’t catch his name. He made us feel at home, offered welcome drinks, helped with our luggage and made sure we had plenty of water for the night.

Ruddy, thanks for everything, you were AWESOME. After a long day of travel, he made checking in easy. We liked it enough to add three more days to our stay. Try the steak and breakfast here, both are 10/10, I promise.

The staff were very friendly, and the bed was large and really comfortable. Breakfast was the best I had anywhere in Nicaragua. The hotel is in a great spot, two blocks from the Cathedral, and has free secure parking off the street.
