We stayed several nights in a two-bedroom apartment, and the balconies had awesome views. The kitchen, bedrooms, living room, and pool were all A+. It was quiet, with little road noise, and there was a nice breeze. Laundry service was available, and the onsite staff were attentive and friendly. Xavier was especially hospitable and helpful, and spoke perfect English. Internet was functional but not especially fast. iDrive worked well for rides, with cars arriving in under two minutes. There’s a little comedor a block away with great local breakfast from 7am. The restaurants across the street in the Hotel were nice and not too expensive, and a nearby pupusa restaurant was reliable. I’d recommend this spot over any upscale hotel in Managua. Already miss it.

I liked the room, but there were some disappointments. The booking said breakfast was included, but there was a charge. The shuttle also wasn’t free. Internet was weak, the TV had no cable, and there wasn’t a restaurant on the property.

Altos is now my favorite place to stay in Managua after trying lots of hotels on more than 20 visits. The rooms are roomy, with kitchenettes, and felt like studio apartments. I also enjoyed seeing the little gardens outside each room in the morning. It’s in a very safe area, and everyone from housekeeping and security to the front desk was helpful. I’ll make it my go-to on my next visit.

We picked this hotel after arriving late in Managua, since we were driving to Diriamba the next morning. The pool area looked clean and safe, though we left early and didn’t use it. Our room was clean, the beds comfortable, and parking felt safe. It works well as a base for seeing the city, with breakfast before heading out. It’s also a good alternative to the DoubleTree across the street, leaving more money for food and souvenirs. We’d stay here again in Managua.

The property has an elegant, classical feel, with charm that makes it feel like home. It’s a hidden gem near the heart of Managua. You could spend more than triple at the Double Hotel across the street and miss out on the value and character here.
