Hotel Alexander

The location was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, continental style, and everything was very clean. We had a room with two twin beds on the top floor. There was no air conditioning, just a fan, and the tiny window looked onto the other building's wall. It got quite hot, and we kept the window open. Apparently air conditioning isn't common in some older buildings. Maybe other rooms are better, but I wouldn't stay again unless I knew exactly which room I'd get. Ask before checking in.

We were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a larger room when we came back after leaving our bags there early. It was clean, spacious, and had a lovely garden view. The beds were very comfortable, and there was a kettle and water for making tea. The staff were so welcoming, helpful, and easy to talk to. We were able to leave our luggage safely while visiting a relative. The location was great, near the trams and museums. It's a busy area, but our street was quiet. Thanks to the team for making the stay so enjoyable. We'll definitely come again.

We were three girls staying at Hotel Alexander, and it felt safe. The staff were kind and helpful. Rijksmuseum and Vondelpark are both close by, with tram and bus stops easy to reach as well. If you've only got a short visit, like our three days, it's a good place to stay. Thanks for the kind service and hospitality.

We had a great one-night stay, and everything was impeccably clean. The hotel is close to everything, which made getting around with a child easy. Amsterdam is extremely expensive, so finding a quality place at a good price felt like a real win. The welcome at reception was so warm, and I felt like I was staying with family. The breakfast room is part of the reception area, making it cozy, and there are games for children. The staff were amazing, especially Ana. Congratulations on running such a lovely hotel!
