Ambassade Hotel

This was our third stay, and we’ll gladly come back. We had a wonderful visit for my husband’s surprise birthday. Suite 85 has a superb canal view, and we really appreciated all the thoughtful touches from the staff, from booking through check-out.

The library bar was beautiful and peaceful, and the hotel is a wonderful base for exploring Amsterdam. We’ll definitely recommend it to others. When we arrived, the reception staff made us feel welcome and special. They even upgraded our room and left a bottle of wine with a handwritten note for our celebration. The room was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and had a great canal view. If you’re driving into Amsterdam, P+R Rai and metro 52 were really convenient for getting to the hotel, even in the snow!

Sebastian at the Library Bar gave us great local restaurant tips. He clearly enjoyed his job and getting to know the guests. Everyone on staff was incredibly friendly and handled our little random requests perfectly. Our room was beautifully appointed, and I loved looking out at the canal. The place couldn’t have been more perfect or beautiful for us. We can’t wait to return, even if it’s years from now.

I slept better than I have in years. I actually stripped the mattress to find out all the makes so we could order them for home. The staff were professional, personable, and kind, though I wish I’d gotten their names. This fantastic boutique hotel brought my dream of an Amsterdam stay with authentic character to life, from the canal views and eclectic decor to the traditional architecture, the city’s history, and the heavenly bedding. I don’t have a bad word to say. I’ll absolutely be back. Thank you.
