Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam West

We felt at home here, and the hosts were kind and quick to help. When an emergency came up, they helped straight away, far beyond what we expected. They also pointed out what to see and where to go as soon as we arrived. The room was spotless, with a lovely canal view, and the location near a subway station was ideal. Rhalf made a fresh breakfast right in front of us, with warm buns, pancakes, and good coffee. Such a nice way to start the day. We'd love to return and would recommend the place to anyone.

One possible drawback is that the B&B is away from the city centre, in a local neighborhood. If you want a more authentic view of Ámsterdam, though, that may suit you. We found it an even better choice than a hotel for a lively cultural experience. The property has two very comfortable rooms with an incredible canal view and a shared bathroom. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms, which is a plus. The lovely couple running the place clearly care about your stay. They serve a nice breakfast and give advice on getting around, plus ideas for sights and activities that fit your interests.

The bed was really comfortable, the room was beautiful, and the view was lovely. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and the hosts were wonderful. The tram stop is very close. Everything was super clean. I couldn't fault it!

We were looking forward to the trip, but the global pandemic forced us to cancel. We chose to postpone the marathon until the following year because of the uncertainty around Covid-19. We didn't know when we'd be able to travel, and I couldn't even book a flight that far ahead. I asked to reschedule once I knew the dates, but they insisted on a specific new date. All they had to do was honor the cancellation, and I would have booked again when I had the dates. Instead, they kept the money I'd paid and offered only a voucher, while telling me they weren't sure the business would still be open a year later. So now it's apparently my fault for trying to postpone? Everyone is hurting, but there's no reason to act this way. This was a non-refundable booking, but the cancellation was due to a pandemic beyond our control. They were greedy and took advantage of the situation. Shame on you.
