The owner never bothered to call us back, and that’s the main reason I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s right in the center, but very noisy and crowded. Because of the covid19 situation, we were given instructions for entering the building ourselves. We were told to take our key and go to the second floor, but when we opened that room, someone else’s belongings were inside. I called the owner 4-5 times and left a voice-mail, but after about 45 minutes she still hadn’t called back. She only texted to say our room was one floor down. The same key opened both the first- and second-floor rooms, which felt unsafe. The bathroom was dirty, there was mold growing on the shower walls, and the carpet clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in a very long time.

There’s a big view of the grasshopper and the water, and the place is right by damrak, just a two-minute walk from the train station with easy public transport access. The simple, clean, spacious room fit all four of us comfortably.

Bring clothes hangers if you stay, but everything else was provided, including free WiFi, Netflix, and even a coffee machine. It’s a lovely little place in the heart of the city above an amazing Cafe, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
