Frederiksplein was a great base: calm, near museumplein, and well connected by public transport. I moved here from another hotel because I wanted to stay in the neighborhood, and I can recommend the area. The kitchen was nice for cooking, with a fridge where you can label your food. I'm not a backpacker, so maybe one would enjoy the hostel more, but for me it wasn't great. The six-person rooms felt too small, the beds shook, the sink was blocked even though the bathroom was clean, and most lockers were broken and unusable. When we mentioned the lockers, the staff said they couldn't do anything about them. The staff member was nice, and I don't blame him for not being able to fix them himself, but lockers matter when you're sharing with people you don't know. Some things could definitely be improved.

The rooms felt a little cramped, though perhaps that's just the city's style. It's very close to the center, and the staff were wonderfully friendly, checking in about our arrival time and offering recommendations. I'd be glad to stay again.

I felt cold in the room, and the windows didn't seem to shut all the way. The bed also felt unsteady, like it might tip when you climb onto it. On the plus side, the staff were caring and friendly, and there's a kitchen for whatever you need to cook. It's a really nice place overall.

The location was good and the room worked well enough for me. I would have liked more charging options by the top bunk, and reception staffed around the clock instead of only at certain times. Some guests arrived late and couldn't figure out how to enter or find their rooms. If someone's phone dies, they also can't call reception. Still, I had a decent stay.

I loved having access to the garden, and the beds were comfortable. ClinkCoco is cozy, with tram stops right outside, and Museumplein is about a 15-minute walk away. The rooms and lockers are on the small side, and those stairs can be tough if you're staying on the top floor. Still, it was a great stay.
