Floating B&B Amsterdam

After sunset, the place is lovely, with picturesque lights and natural beauty you only get to see at night. You might even grow fond of a coot or two! We’ll be back. As a couple, this was easily the best place we found to stay. I’m from a boating background, and it went beyond what I could have dreamed of, though it’d be great even if you’re new to boat facilities. There’s a shower, toilet and kitchenette on board, and the host is welcoming and makes you feel at home straight away. A farmer supermarket is close by, with bus stops even closer. It’s ideal whether you’re an experienced traveler or on your first trip away. I couldn’t recommend it more!

A friendly host and a great little B&B with a twist.

The host was wonderful, so hospitable and helpful. I really appreciated how supportive and involved she was. The boat was compact but well organized, with everything needed. I can be demanding about comfort, and I noticed that especially. Staying aboard was an amazing, cozy, authentic and unique experience. You feel close to nature, with different ducks and geese greeting you morning and evening. The boat rocks slightly, but you get used to it quickly, and it adds to the sense of being on a real trip. The sunsets are beautiful too. The location is nice: it’s about half an hour by bike to the city center, so you’re away from the crowded, noisy center while still not far from it. It’s quiet, right on the water and surrounded by wildlife. I’d love to come back, and I definitely recommend trying this experience.
