Hotel Sebastian's

The canal view was beautiful, even though our room was very small. We slept so well in the comfortable beds, and the area felt peaceful and quiet. Everyone on staff was so kind and accommodating, from the friendly welcome when we arrived to the help throughout our stay. The bar was great as well. We’ll definitely come back.

The main drawback for us was how much noise came through the walls and ceiling. We could hear people next door and upstairs coming in, walking around, and talking. One night, the person above us watched a movie, and the sound was clear enough that I could follow along from our room. On the plus side, the staff were welcoming, and the rooms were spotless and recently renovated. The hotel is right in the city center, with most attractions easy to reach on foot.

There was enough room for the three of us, and the room was clean with a good bed. We could even open the window. The hotel is fairly central, yet the area was still pretty quiet. Reception were very friendly, and they let us leave our things before check-in. By the time we came back, our stuff had already been taken up to the room. Perfect.

The team made the stay especially nice. Several staff members spoke Spanish, which made things easier, and you could see how enthusiastically they worked. One young employee from Colombia was particularly friendly, polite, and full of positive energy. When there was a small problem with the safe, staff sorted it out straight away and were very kind about it. After checkout, they emailed us immediately because they’d found something we’d left behind, and helped make getting it back simple. The rooms were comfortable, well-equipped, and nicely kept. They aren’t especially big, which is common in Amsterdam and elsewhere in Europe, but the space is used well and worked fine for a pleasant stay. The hotel sits by picturesque, peaceful canals, a lovely spot for exploring the city on foot. We had a truly excellent stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel for its location and its wonderful staff.
