The hosts were helpful, and the room was lovely, with a clean, comfortable ensuite. The location felt well away from Amsterdam’s less salubrious areas. The stairs are steep, but that’s part of the charm.

The room I was given was tiny, with only a small window looking straight onto another wall. It felt like being in prison, and I could barely breathe in there. The place wasn't as described, and I didn't get the view shown in the pictures. The stairs also felt unsafe, so I decided to leave. The lady there was very rude and shut the door in my face when I said it wasn't what I'd seen in the photos. They kept my money and refused to refund me. Please be aware and check before booking. I would never recommend this place.
