At checkout, they wouldn’t give us a late checkout or store our luggage. We were left standing outside on the street with our bags. The room also had a broken hairdryer, a broken glass bathroom door, no smart TV, poor hygiene, and the area and atmosphere were bad. We stayed at the Amsterdam branch of Limehome, and it was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. They advertise it as a hotel, but offer almost none of the basic services. There were no tissues, only toilet paper, and we got coffee for the first day only, no matter how long we stayed. There was no cleaning service. When we complained, the response was basically, “That’s our policy, buy what you need from the nearest store.” There’s no proper reception or staff around to help in person, and the service felt disconnected and careless. Limehome may market itself as a hotel chain across Europe, but it felt more like an overpriced self-service apartment with almost no hospitality. The worst of the worst. If you’re going to Amsterdam, avoid Limehome.

I’ve already arranged to move to another hotel because I no longer feel safe or comfortable here. I’m leaving the apartment immediately and want to understand why anyone made this assumption about us when we properly rented it and are in the city as tourists. The night security guard came into contact with me inside the apartment and asked absurd questions, including whether we were working as prostitutes. It was an extremely embarrassing, disrespectful, and unacceptable situation. His approach was invasive and highly unprofessional, and I felt deeply humiliated. I even considered calling the police at the time, given how serious it was, but chose not to go ahead then. I’ll be posting detailed reviews about what happened with Lima Home on all platforms so others know about my experience. I’m requesting at least a full refund for the apartment. If this can’t be settled amicably, I’ll take legal action. I expect an urgent response.

The location is good, but the stay was very disappointing and not worth the price. We had a suite for three, but the layout was unacceptable. The bathroom offered no privacy, you could hear sounds clearly outside, and parts of the toilet were visible through the glass doors. There wasn’t even backup toilet paper, which is basic and unacceptable. The elevator was out of order for four days, and we were on the 6th floor. They promised by email that it would be fixed, but nothing was done. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The room was clean, and it’s near the train station and the Breakfast Club. Just be aware there’s a gap in the glass bathroom door. From the table, you can see into both the shower and the toilet.

The room was comfortable and good for three of us, with a fully equipped kitchen. The location is very convenient for public transport near Amsterdam Sloterdijk: metro 52, tram 19, bus 22, and the Sprinter NS train to Amsterdam central are easy to reach. From Sloterdijk there are direct trains to Rotterdam, Den Haag, and Utrecht, and there’s also a Flixbus stop for intercity travel in the Netherlands. I’d give the accommodation five stars if it weren’t for what happened on the fourth day. We were told there would be no room service because our stay was under seven nights. But when we got back from a trip at night, we found a white plastic bag on the dining table with fruit, sample toiletries, and phone chargers. Someone had entered our room. I contacted management, and a staff member said they would ask around, but I heard nothing more before checking out. Luckily, none of the valuable things we’d left in the room were missing.
