Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel

The hallway smell was the one downside, though I figure it’s not the hotel’s fault. It’s the oldest hotel in Amsterdsm, and the pipe situation around Amsterdam needs an upgrade. Apart from that, the service was amazing and I really felt welcome. The room was clean, the view was great, and the location was top notch, with almost everything important within five minutes. Breakfast was veeeery nice, with options for every diet. I enjoyed my stay. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING GUYS.

All the teams we dealt with were excellent, from the front desk and guest relations to the doormen, cleaners, and restaurant staff. Marta from Guest Relations handled our room change so well, and they gave us a small apology gift. They’d also left a little anniversary keepsake when we first arrived. We were there as a couple for five nights to celebrate a milestone anniversary. Our first room was a wonderful Deluxe Room, but it faced the street near a bar, and the shouting carried right through the windows. We were told that was due to a municipal bylaw and the hotel’s historic nature. We asked to move to the canal side, and they could switch us from the third night. It was much quieter, though the room was still nice but less spacious and not as spectacular. We stayed at two other hotels during the trip, and I kept thinking how awesome the Tivoli Doelen was by comparison.

The canal view is stunning at any time of day, and it makes the stay feel special. I’ve been here for two days and have loved it so far. The room is comfortable, the atmosphere is lovely, and I feel relaxed and well looked after. I’m already looking forward to returning and will definitely stay here again.

The staff were welcoming throughout, and helped me out when Bolt didn’t show up by calling a taxi to the airport. They also looked after my luggage before check-in. I only stayed one night, but enjoyed every moment. The view was amazing, the room had everything I needed, and breakfast was good. I liked the hotel a lot.
