We lost £350 without spending a single night there, because the room condition put us off immediately. The first room had very questionable stains all over the mattress and, worst of all, hairs that looked pubic. We asked for another room. The receptionist didn't seem pleased, but moved us. That room had hairs too, and we didn't want to ask again. Then we read Google reviews mentioning bed bugs. After that, we didn't even want to stay in the dirty room. It wasn't a cheap booking, and the photos are misleading. The place was cramped, dirty and outdated. As seasoned travelers, we felt we'd been scammed by both Booking.com and the hotel for the first time. Booking.com didn't help, and I'll never use it again. Thank goodness for Airbnb. We booked somewhere else right away and had a clean, luxurious stay there.

We arrived at 10:30 pm and were upgraded for free, with no fuss. The staff were friendly and really helpful, and the water pressure in our third-floor room was perfect. It's a bit of a trek from the city center, but you probably already know that if you're reading this. Great budget hotel.

The room was so tiny that two of us could barely fit, and for what we paid, I expected a lot more. It also wasn't clean. The shower door wouldn't close properly, so the bathroom flooded whenever we used it. Even after we asked about it, the broken safe still didn't work, which left us feeling very insecure. It was overpriced and extremely small. I wouldn't recommend it.

A nice little hotel, very clean, and handy for Amstel Station and the markets. We had a balcony with chairs overlooking the garden. The bathroom layout was a bit tricky, but it worked.

The location is excellent, with a grocery store in the same building and several tram stops nearby. Our room was clean, basic and functional, and the air conditioning was good. The bed was hard as a rock, and several things were broken, including lights and holes in the bathroom door. The floors squeaked so much that you could hear and feel every step anyone took in the hotel.
