Postillion Hotel Deventer

The dinner menu is limited, but what I tried was tasty. The vegan poke bowl was mind-blowing. Breakfast was very good too, with lots of bread, fruit, dried fruit, and eggs. I'd choose a room facing the small body of water. Sunlight comes in throughout the day, which can help keep the room warm when you return after a long day at the office. It's a really nice hotel.

We had a great stay. The staff were really friendly, and the food was high quality. Seems like a very good hotel for families or business trips.

The service was nice, and having bikes at the hotel made it easy to head into the city. It’s about a 30-minute walk too, which was handy with the dog. The gym was right above our room, though, and someone was lifting weights at 6 in the morning. It was really loud. They should keep the gym closed until at least 8.

The rooms were comfortable, the staff helpful, and breakfast was nice. The restaurant felt cozy, and the hotel has an interesting mix of traditional Dutch atmosphere and very modern architecture. Its location depends on how you’re getting around. It’s on the edge of Deventer near the main road to Amsterdam, which could be useful by car. Without one, it’s a 2 km walk to the center, and the nearby McDonald’s is about the only other place to eat close by.
