The hotel is directly across from the medical center, whose bus stop has several connecting lines, and the city center is within walking distance. Some rooms have lovely city views. Staff are friendly and very helpful, and the rooms have recently been renovated in a more contemporary style. The beds are comfortable, and each room has a Nespresso machine and kettle. There’s also a small gym with a view, and breakfast has excellent choices.

A severe snowstorm made it impossible for us to travel, something entirely outside our control. Booking.com confirmed that changing the dates would be acceptable, but the hotel wouldn’t cooperate or offer flexibility. We were disappointed by the lack of understanding and care in such an exceptional situation, and expected more reasonable, supportive service. We wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

The beds and sheets were amazing, and breakfast tasted great. Many thanks to Sandra at the front desk and Theo in the kitchen for being so friendly and helpful, and thanks to everyone for everything.

A very good hotel, with a large room and good facilities, right by the UMCG main entrance. Just be aware that the restaurant doesn’t serve dinner from Friday through Sunday. During those days, sandwiches are available for self-service.

The service from the staff was amazing, especially at reception. They were incredibly polite, attentive, and always ready to help. Highly recommend this hotel!
