B&B Pastorie Jelsum

The breakfast room looks picture perfect, and breakfast itself was fresh and made just as we ordered. We also had a clean, atmospheric room with a good bed. A beautiful B&B in a charming rural setting.

We came in spring, when the stinse front garden was especially lovely. Out back, there's a superb garden with a pond, and the surrounding area is beautiful too. The B&B is decorated with care and good taste. Breakfast is well made with local products, including old Frisian clove cheese, which is worth trying if you like that kind of cheese. Our host was very hospitable. We'd happily return.

Our motorcycle stayed dry in the garden bike shed, which was handy. We also found the beds comfortable and enjoyed the good breakfast. The B&B is charming and beautiful, and the host was very friendly and sent plenty of helpful information in advance, including emails.

Jelsum made a great base for cycling, and we also went to Leeuwarden. We slept really well in the wonderfully quiet cottage, which felt like home. Lourens' B&B gave us fresh breakfast with authentic local products, and we had a wonderful stay. We'll definitely come back!
