It was so quiet at night, which is unusual for hotels these days. The rooms and beds are new, the location is great, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I’d happily stay here again on my next trip to town.

Wijck is a pleasant neighborhood across the Maas, and the hotel is within walking distance of the center. It’s close to Maastricht central station, with friendly staff and reasonable prices. Parking is available in nearby garages, but it isn’t included.

The morning waitress was rude and unprofessional, and struggled to communicate in both Dutch and English. I told her twice that I’m severely lactose and dairy intolerant and asked politely to leave out the yogurt bowl and pastry. She didn’t seem willing to listen, then gave me attitude when she brought a plate with both gluten and dairy products. Once I removed what I couldn’t eat, there was barely anything left. I asked for a simple replacement, an extra egg and avocado, and was charged for it. Being treated like that at 8:00 in the morning after paying over €400 was unbelievable. I stayed for two nights, and the room was tiny, with no basic things like a desk or refrigerator. It also had a persistent, strong sewage smell. The accommodation didn’t feel properly separated from the ground-floor bar and restaurant, and the reception counter uses the same till as the restaurant. For over €400, this was absolutely not worth the money. I won’t return and wouldn’t recommend it, especially with many better options on that street.

A small, cozy hotel with a family feel, conveniently placed near both the station and the city center. The service was great, the staff were nice, and breakfast was good. Nothing else needed.
