Hotel Heere

The staff were friendly, polite, and quick to help, and the rooms were very clean. Breakfast was a standard continental spread with everything you'd expect. Dinner was tasty and the portions were generous, though the steak itself was only average. The beds were much too soft for my taste, but that's just my preference. My first night was in room 604. The heating wasn't working in the bedroom or bathroom, and the staff couldn't fix it that evening, so I got an extra blanket. Then around 4 a.m. the bedroom suddenly got too hot when the heating came on, while the bathroom radiator stayed cold. In the morning I found the safe didn't work either, so I couldn't put my valuables away. They moved me to the larger room 808. Its heating is fine, but the safe is locked and I can't open it. I don't want to move a third time, so I'll leave my things in the car. The hotel is small and pleasant, with a few inconveniences, but I'd still recommend it and would come back someday. One tip: don't open the window in room 604 early in the morning unless you want the smell of bacon frying in the kitchen for breakfast.

That breakfast cafe is amazing, and the tasty food made each morning feel fancy. We were also really happy with the friendly staff. My husband and I stayed three nights, and loved the room's appliances and how it looked. The bed textiles were incredible, especially the pillows, the softest and yet firmest I've ever slept on. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we'll come back :)

Breakfast at the brasserie next door was really good, with lots to choose from. The room in the annexe, though, was too warm to sleep in. There was no air conditioning, and the window only opened a very narrow amount. A fan was provided, but it didn't oscillate. Maybe the rooms in the main building are better.

The breakfast was the best we've ever had at a hotel. A great bed and wonderful service, too.
