Breakfast was lovely, and the service was exceptional from the moment we arrived to the end of our stay. The hotel is spotless, and the food from the bar was delicious too. Try the vegetarian curry. It’s in a picturesque spot, and the place manages to feel both modern and traditional, with care put into the details. For the price, it’s a five-star stay. I can’t wait to return, and I’d absolutely recommend it.

We stayed here for our wedding day, and the owner and staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They were very focused on looking after us. The rooms were clean and looked stunning. We’d happily come back, 10/10.

The room had a great river view across the road, and the hotel’s location was good. It was small, but had everything I needed. You can get more water for free when you ask, and there’s a QR code with the history of the building and your specific room. Mine had a historic door turned into a desk or table. The welcome and advice for spending a day in Rotterdam were great, and the lounge and bar looked nice, though I didn’t use them. There were some smart tech features too, including a Bluetooth speaker system in the room. Breakfast cost 24 euros, and it was easily the worst hotel breakfast I had on this trip through Belgium, NL and Germany, despite being the most expensive. Some of the food was served to us, but the fruit salad, rolls and croissant didn’t seem fresh. The cheese was sweaty, as if it had been left out. I asked if there was any in the fridge, and they brought out different cheese that was better, though they didn’t seem very happy about it. At that price, I expected it to be kept chilled and sliced when needed. The omelette was burnt outside and runny inside, and looked like it might have been made with only 2 small eggs. For 24 euros, that was embarrassing. I would have preferred to make something better myself. It really soured my impression of the hotel. I mentioned it at checkout to a relatively inexperienced woman, who apologised and said she’d tell management, but nobody contacted me or offered any compensation. The hotel itself is good, with very good service and a convenient location. I’d stay again, but skip breakfast. I only ate there because I couldn’t see good nearby options at a decent morning hour. I’d rather pay more for food I can enjoy without worrying about getting food poisoning.

Getting around Rotterdam was easy, with a water taxi stop right across the street, and the location worked well for exploring by land or sea. The rooms were stylish and very clean, with a lovely balance of comfort and design. The staff made the stay feel personal and comfortable. Reception, housekeeping and the bar team were all friendly and attentive, and went out of their way to make things enjoyable. Pincoffs Boutique Hotel was a luxurious, memorable stay, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rotterdam.

The lunch I had outdoors, when the weather allowed, was beautifully presented and really tasty. The restaurant is lovely too. Update 26/4/22: had a scrumptious cocktail and dinner there. Some friends stayed for the weekend at this unique boutique hotel and were impressed by their room and how friendly the staff were. I can’t wait to return soon!
