Rivers Hotel & Restaurant

That canal-view room was well worth it, and the price was fantastic value. The town is cute and great for shopping. The people managing the place were so attentive, responsive, courteous and outstanding to deal with. Fabulous location.

The inside was nice, and the bathrooms were clean. I had an excellent meal outside on a lovely spring afternoon with a great view of the water. The first waitress was rude and didn’t want to help me with the menu because I don’t know Dutch. A male waiter came by later and was really helpful.

The atmosphere was pleasant, and the breakfast and dinner at the roadside restaurant were good. I’ve stayed here twice, and both times I found it cozy with friendly staff.

We were three people, but only two seats were available. We asked the waitress for an extra chair, and although we could see one with a jacket on it, she said somebody was already sitting there. We let it go, but when another customer arrived, she offered that same chair to them. The service was very poor, and the waitress was very racist. I hope management takes action.
