Court Garden Hotel Ecodesigned

The rooms are very cramped, with barely any space for luggage, and the mattress wasn't comfortable. I stayed for 20 nights, but housekeeping came only every third night and didn't do a proper job. Dust was everywhere, especially on the shelves and clothes. When I asked reception for a one-hour late checkout because of my late flight, they refused. There are some good points: the tram platform is right beside the hotel, and the Peace Palace, city centre and a great Indonesian restaurant on the same line as the hotel entrance are close by. Staff were friendly, and I liked the lobby with its free coffee and tea during the courses of the Hague Academy of International Law, though I don't know if it's offered at other times. The digital key for the room, entrance and lift was a nice idea.

The staff were lovely and really helpful. Their same-day laundry was a huge time saver for me: drop it off before 10am and pick it up after 6pm, for 19 euros, with a maximum of 4kg. The hotel is in a hip, quiet area that isn't too touristy, and I enjoyed walking to nearby cafes and a bakery. I had a very nice stay and will book here again next time I'm in The Hague.

The room was small, but the bed was really comfy. I was happy with the breakfast buffet's solid selection, and both the receptionists and breakfast staff were friendly. The receptionists even helped me choose the right tram line. The shower pressure could've been stronger, and I'd have preferred a bigger shower head and sink, though everything did its job. The location was okay, about 15 minutes' walk to the city centre if you're quick, with a tram stop right outside. A good base for a few nights exploring Den Haag.

Breakfast had the usual kind of selection, with a good range of fresh fruit, but there weren't enough vegan options. The hotel was clean and easy to get to, and the air conditioning kept things comfortable. Rooms also had practical extras like an iron and battery charger. I liked the modern wooden electronic key system, which worked for security and looked nice. A convenient, comfortable stay with thoughtful touches.
