Hotel Pistache Den Haag

Using my phone to open both the entrance and our room was super convenient. I got the link on check-in day, and there’s no reception or staff at the entrance, so we could just walk in and head straight to the room. The room was spacious, with two comfortable beds, a beautiful bathroom and a kitchen we didn’t end up using. It was cleaned every day while we were out, which was nice. Hotel Pistache made for a modern, comfortable and stress-free stay. Definitely recommended.

The room was clean and spacious, with utensils, a microwave, a Nespresso machine and a kettle. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, very close to a tram stop and not far from the city center. There are parking spaces in front of the hotel, but you need to reserve them; otherwise you can use a nearby garage at Alexanderveld. Communication with the staff by email was clear. They weren’t in the building, but were still available. We’d consider coming back when we stay in Den Haag again.

The rooms are lovely, but our experience with the staff was awful. They were in the common areas when we checked in, and came across as very unfriendly and disagreeable. Hospitality really didn’t seem to be their thing. They kept asking personal questions and wouldn’t leave us to spend the evening alone. It felt like we were intruding in their private home, and they thought they had a right to know all the private details about us. I don’t recommend staying here.

The place is pretty central, and we could reach everything on foot. The city center is only a few minutes away, while Scheveningen beach is about an hour's walk or a tram ride. Our room felt open and comfortable, and the self check-in and check-out were modern and easy. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.
