We had a great three-night stay at Le Bistro. It was very quiet, and the room was clean and just right for the two of us. We paid a very small fee to upgrade to a room with a private bathroom and shower. The people who run and work at the hotel and restaurant were wonderful, friendly and hospitable. Whenever we needed something, we only had to ask, and they were happy to help. You can't beat the location!

We chose Le Bistro and were glad we did. The waiter was so friendly and spent ages chatting with us about the beer. We sat for a couple of hours drinking and watching the town go by. I'd have liked to eat there too, but we went elsewhere so we could try as many places as possible. Valkenburg is an amazing little town. I've honestly never seen so many bars on one street in my life. The only challenge is deciding where to sit and have a drink. Highly recommended.

The food was OK and it was fairly cheap, so the value for money was OK overall. We went in for a quick meal and a beer, and the service was fast but not great. Our mixed grill was all right, but the steak felt and tasted like it had been left on the counter for quite a while. I wouldn't recommend it.

The staff are great, and so is the food. Eat here if you're hungry. By my Dutch standards the portions are normal-sized, but they definitely fill you up.

Valkenburg was a lovely surprise. We'd only booked there so we could travel to Maastricht for Anfre Rieu, but what a fabulous, relaxing and friendly town it turned out to be. Jason was the perfect host, Dennis was brilliant at front of house, and Wim at Breakfast was great too. Le Bistro made it the perfect holiday for us, and we can't thank Wim enough for the enormous favour he did us. Thanks to everyone. We thoroughly recommend Valkenburg and Le Bistro. Dave & Lynne
