The beautiful surroundings were the one real plus, but you can find the same setting at better hotels for a similar price. The room needs a serious update, and the bed was very uncomfortable. It wasn’t clean, and breakfast was awful. Fresh meats and other fresh foods weren’t kept cool, which was unappetising on a hot day.

The breakfast was incredible for such a small place, with hand-carved ham, a range of cakes and sweet rolls, and homemade waffles. The lovely landlady even let us take some food for the long drive ahead. She also let us use the iron to get our concert clothes ready for Andre Rieu and shared plenty of parking tips. We were allowed to leave our pooch in the room while we went to enjoy the concert. The decor and location were stunning, and the place is so beautiful it’s worth stopping to explore. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you, Marjorie. Lots of love and Merry Xmas from Anet, Tobi, Mum and Kika.

Marjolein was a wonderful host, and it was very nice talking with her. She even let us leave the car parked for a couple more hours after checkout. There were plenty of breakfast options, and the property is very close to the stone coal mijn and castle ruins. We had an amazing stay.

Yuk, the rooms are uncomfortable, and breakfast seems to break every hygiene rule.

The rooms were really nice, and breakfast was well prepared. The host and owner were lovely, too. Great hospitality all around. I'd happily visit again!
