Our main frustration was the mismatch between what was advertised and what we actually got, along with charges that weren't clear in advance. We booked this place specifically because it had a hot tub, and checked the details with the owners several times, including asking about firewood. We paid the agreed €40 for the first day and €15 for the second. On the first day the tub was fine, but by the second the water had turned cloudy and we didn't feel it was usable. We've stayed at similar places and never had water become unusable after only a day. The assistant said we could drain and refill it, so we began doing that. Once the water was already drained and refilling, we were told it would cost €30. We hadn't expected a fee, since we'd been told we could simply replace the water. We'd already paid €55 for the tub, which we understood included water, firewood, and service. The charge was later lowered first to €20, then €15, with extra firewood given as the reason, though we hadn't asked for more. The TV was another disappointment right after check-in. The listing and emails promised a Smart TV with Netflix and YouTube, something that mattered to us as we had a small child with us. Instead, it was an old, small set that didn't match the description. The assistant came to change the batteries after we told her, but it still didn't work properly, and neither Netflix nor YouTube worked. We were told we could go into town that evening because it was King's Day, but it was already late and that wasn't realistic with a small child. Later the owner said by phone that a TV wasn't an important part of accommodation in houses like these, even though it was listed as a facility. We were also encouraged to book directly instead of through a platform, on the grounds that it would be cheaper. The final price was the same as on booking platforms, with payment simply going to the owners instead of a booking service. Check-out times were inconsistent across platforms and messages, and we only got the final time on arrival. The assistant was polite and tried to help, so our concern is with the owners' management and communication. Because we booked directly, we couldn't leave this review on a booking platform. I wanted to share what happened so other guests can make an informed choice. The stay felt less transparent than we'd expected, with unclear extra charges and communication problems instead of a relaxed visit. I hope this helps people understand the conditions before booking.
