The villa is quiet and beautiful, with a lovely view, and it’s a convenient base for a holiday. Bicycles are provided, and the train station is about a five-minute drive away, with a train to Amsterdam Central every 15 minutes.

We spent a few great days at De Werkplaats at the end of July. Getting around by handbike was easy, with beautiful routes along the Vecht River and towards Muiden and Naarden. We also went through green areas towards Amsterdam, including Amsterdamse Bos, Vondelpark, and the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. The people here are especially friendly and enthusiastic, and they share interesting stories. We felt at ease and at home right away. The accommodation is adapted, spacious, and fully wheelchair accessible. It has a high-low kitchen, a large bedroom with comfortable adjustable beds and very comfortable mattresses, plus a double shower and an adapted bathroom. It’s fully equipped.
