A good value for money, with a small, basic room. It’s a small hotel in West-Terschelling, as there aren’t many very large ones in town. The street is quiet, even though the harbor and town center are close. The owner welcomed a minor comment about upkeep as we were leaving. All the rooms are on the ground floor, and the automatic doors have large buttons, so for an old building it’s fairly suitable for people with disabilities. The two smoking benches out front aren’t sheltered from rain, but using coal containers as ashtrays is a genuinely nice touch. The complimentary continental breakfast was good, and there was a warm croissant at the end of service. I’d definitely stay again.

The rooms were okay, the staff were generally friendly, and breakfast was edible. The hotel itself seemed reasonably good, but our stay was very unpleasant because it coincided with construction. From 10 in the morning until 8 in the evening, loud work overhead made it impossible to rest in the afternoon. The workers smoked just below our windows, so we couldn’t leave them open without the room smelling of cigarettes. The heating didn’t work, so we couldn’t dry wet clothes. The manager kindly switched it on when we asked, but it had stopped working again by the next morning. ¯\_(face)_/¯ In response to the hotel’s comments: their reply is a lie, at least because nobody told us about the construction at check-in. There was no one there when we checked in to begin with 🤣. In any case, we should have been told when booking. I sincerely congratulate the hotel on its ability to freshly bake cold, stale croissants 🥐 ¯\_(face)_/¯

A cosy, beautiful hotel in an old school building. The hospitality was nice, and breakfast was good.

A top hotel.

The breakfast was good and a decent size. If simple breakfast suits you, you’d have to be spoiled to complain. We stayed in room 11 on the first floor. It was a comfortable size, though the box-spring mattress was much too soft for me; my fellow traveler found it fine. The hotel is reasonably priced for what you get. Over Christmas, we didn’t need outdoor seating, but in summer it’d be nice to have some tables and chairs beside the building instead of just bicycle space. If you have trouble walking, ask for a ground-floor room if possible, since the stairs are right next to the hotel.
