Trasti & Trine´s Lodge

Our family loved the adventures available on site, the thoughtful service, and our cozy cabin. We stayed in the Raderrud cabin, which had plenty of space and was comfortable for all four of us. The food was extremely good and a real highlight of our trip. Such a warm, welcoming place. We can’t recommend Trasti & Trine highly enough.

Alaska bar was a real gem, cozy and friendly, with some unique Norwegian whiskies. We spent three lovely days at Trasti & Trine lodge. The rooms were nice, the staff lovely, and the food was excellent both at breakfast and in the restaurant. Highly recommended!

We came for the dog sledding, and everyone was wonderful, dogs included! The place felt magical, and the lunch afterward was delicious. A huge thank you to everyone. Jonny’s amazing wine cellar is a must see! I hope we can return, maybe in summer?!

The staff and guides made this special. Before coming, I wasn’t especially keen to try dogsledding, but at Trasti & Trine the guides involve you and encourage you to interact with the dogs. I fell in love with it straight away and went on several trips during my week there. I’ve just got back this week, Jan '26, and wish I could turn around and go back. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. T&T is out in the countryside but still easy to reach by taxi if you want to go into town. The regional food was amazing, with the best cod I’ve ever had, plus reindeer, moose, and more. Everyone in town says T&T is Alta’s best restaurant. Nearby, you can also get to major attractions like Sorrisniva (ice hotel), a Sami cultural center, and trails for hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing. In winter, bring warm clothes, and you’ll have great opportunities to see the Northern Lights. Thanks to the incredible staff. I hope to be back soon.
