Hotell Marena

The owner made our stay at Marena such a good experience. She helped with everything we needed, from booking restaurants and arranging a rental car to making us a delicious sandwich and coffee for breakfast when we had to leave early. The hotel was cozy, quiet, and extremely clean, with a comfortable bed and lovely decor. A great place to stay when visiting the Andenes area.

We were happy with the place overall. Our twin room was clean and nicely decorated, with coffee-making facilities and a pleasant bathroom. Staff were fairly helpful and friendly. The internet connection came and went, though staff said it was because there were so many guests that night. Breakfast was a perfectly acceptable buffet, but don’t expect dinner facilities.

Ranni runs this cozy place with a real B&B feel and handles pretty much everything guests need, from email and arrival plans to useful tips about Andenes and serving breakfast. The rooms are clean and alright, though our mattresses were on the soft side. Breakfast had a really good spread, with lots of different choices laid out nicely. I enjoyed sitting and relaxing over it so much that I ended up spending an extra 10-15 minutes there. I'm writing this review now over breakfast too.

I was pleasantly surprised by this cool little hotel in Andenes. It’s very clean and modern, with a good breakfast and helpful staff. If you’re a fussy American like me who expects hotel rooms to be unnecessarily huge, don’t let the compact rooms put you off. They’re thoughtfully laid out and comfortable. If you’re lucky enough to be in Andenes, just enjoy the place and everything around it.
