Thon Hotel Moldefjord

The rooms were very clean, and it was easy to walk to lots of shops and restaurants. I also had a great breakfast at the restaurant attached to the hotel. The staff were especially friendly and helped with everything from little questions to bigger requests. The downsides were the view and the noise. Cruise ships dock right at the pier in front, so much of the time I was looking at large boats instead of the waterfront. On the main street side, bars and clubs nearby played loud music late into the night, and it sometimes made sleeping difficult. A pleasant stay overall, especially if service, clean rooms, and an easy walk to things matter to you.

We were given a complimentary upgrade, which was a lovely surprise at the start of the trip. The room was spotless and roomy, with a stunning view. The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived, and the hotel had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We had a fantastic stay and would happily return or recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable one.

The room had a comfortable bed and pillows, plus coffee, a hot water pot, an ironing board, and a mini fridge. I liked the colors, too. This is a lovely mid-level hotel in a great spot in Bergen, an easy walk from the funicular, city center, and UNESCO site. Breakfast was a very nice buffet and was included.

Molde is forever in my heart. I explored all over on foot, from Romsdal Museum and Naustra floating sauna to the cafes, restaurants, church bell tower, spa, pool, gym, and futbol stadium. The on-site Egon Restaurant was fabulous for breakfast, dinner, and dessert, and there’s a great outdoor space for eating or sitting. Takk!
