Dalsøren Camping

Our cabin, hytte 8, sat right beside the fjord, looking out over green-blue water and dark brown mountains. It had just the basics, which made sense for the reasonable price, but the setting more than made up for that. A beautiful place to stay, highly recommend!

We had a great spot with our roof tent, and the bathrooms were modern and very clean. Shops and a bakery are only about five minutes away on foot. The reception serves tasty pizza and fries until 9:30 pm. Friendly service and fair prices. Perfect place!

The cabin was clean and right by the fjord, with a nice view, but sleeping was almost impossible because the open window had no net and flies got inside. We’d said on the phone that there were just two of us, but nobody mentioned the cabin only had bunk beds or that we’d have to share a blanket. There were only two women’s and two men’s showers, and that felt like too few. The light in the indoor shower wasn’t working either. The hot-water machine also failed: I put in a coin and got no water at all. No one was around that evening or the next morning to refund it.

The staff were kind, professional, and helpful, and the showers and toilets were exceptionally clean. Our one-bedroom cabin was basic, but cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. Dalsøren Camping is surrounded by lovely views and has interesting things to do nearby in any season. I’d happily recommend it!
