F2 Hotel Harstad

I’ve never stayed anywhere before where there wasn’t a power outlet for a hairdryer.

After two nights sleeping in my car while driving through Norway, I wanted a proper bed and a shower. This was a great price, and the room had what I needed. I slept well.

We booked a queen or king bed, but got two separate beds instead. That was the only drawback, and I’ll definitely stay here again. The apartment was spacious and quiet, with no noise from outside, the hall, or other rooms. It was actually two rooms joined by an open doorway, with two bathrooms and a TV in each. One room had two comfortable beds; the other had a comfortable couch, a full set of kitchen equipment, a microwave, kettle, and fridge. It’s well placed downtown in Harstad, and costs less than a standard room at other hotels in town.

For a budget stay, this reception-free hotel was a great fit. Booking at short notice was easy, and the confirmation and room key code arrived quickly. The rooms are tidy, with simple facilities. It’s a minute from a 7-23 supermarket and three minutes from the harbour and town centre. The curtains close almost completely, which is a bonus when you’re adjusting to the midnight sun.
