This lovely cafe and church is a short way from the port of Narvik Norway, where my cruise ship let us off for the day 😀. Coffee ☕️ and food's are very affordable. The lovely lady downstairs told me there’s an affordable hotel attached, too, if anyone wants to stay over and enjoy the cafe and gift shop just inside the main doors. Three lovely wee fridge magnets 🧲 cost 180NOK there, while the same kind of thing farther down the hill was 85NOK each. Shop around and save some money 💰.

The location worked really well for my night in transit from Tromso to Lofoten, and it’s on the bus route. Breakfast had a great spread. The dorm was very spacious, and the beds were comfortable with privacy curtains. The shared facilities were uncomfortable, though. Men and women use the same toilets, and the women’s shower is communal with no privacy. As a transit stay, it’s a good option.

The staff were nice, which is a shame because the room was in poor shape when we arrived late. It hadn’t been cleaned: there were used cigarette buds on the windowsill and hairs on the bedding.

The workers were decent, the location was good, and the room was small but comfortable enough for two nights. Breakfast was average and simple. It was even better knowing it was a non-profit company.

Breakfast was a pleasure, and there were lots of friendly people staying here. The staff were great, and the location was fine. Everything felt clean and comfortable, with really good value for money. My only complaint was the shower and toilet setup. The showers weren’t great, and they were in a shared bathroom with the women, with just a tiny curtain for privacy.
