That bed was super comfortable, a wonderful bonus. We also loved sitting on the bench across the road and taking in the scenery. We'd expected to stay in a larger city, but we're glad we found this peaceful spot between the water and the mountain. My wife and I were fortunate to find a room in this small hotel, which has an excellent restaurant. We had reindeer patties and cod dinners, and the included breakfast was just right. The receptionist and manager treated us kindly and was very good to her two brand-new employees. She took a real interest in my wife's Norwegian heritage and even printed the Norwegian words to Row, Row, Row Your Boat, a version of which has been passed down in her family.

The location is nice, above Røldal lake and near several ski slopes and tracks. The staff were pleasant and the service was good, though the rooms and restaurant could use improvement. For the quality, it felt a bit overpriced, but was okay for a short 2-3 day stay.

There was lots of space in the clean apartment, and the staff were friendly. The Wi-Fi in the unit was fairly weak. Breakfast was typical for hotels in Norway.

The view was spectacular, and the staff were sweet and accommodating. Dinner and breakfast were okay. Since this was my first hotel in Norway, I don't have much to compare it with, but by Danish standards I'd call the food cafeteria quality.

I keep coming back to this hotel whenever I'm in Norway because the view is one of the most spectacular I've seen. The room has generous space, with a separate living room and kitchen, and the balcony is wide. There are two issues, though: the bathroom fixtures seem almost ready to fall apart, and a sticker on a glass window blocks the view from inside.
