Clean rooms and a kind, helpful team. The room ventilation could have been better, though it wasn’t a major issue. Breakfast was what you’d expect in Scandinavia. You can reach the city centre and plenty of tourist spots fairly easily, as long as you’re fine with a short walk. I’d recommend the hotel.

Clean and quiet, with a good location and very kind staff. The gym is a nice extra. Highly recommended.

There’s no kettle in the standard rooms, which was the one thing I missed. Apparently that’s normal in Norway, but as an English person I need constant tea! Guests can use the free coffee machine downstairs and take a drink up. The beds were very comfortable, everything was really clean, and the breakfast choices were excellent. Service was great too. You can book the cleaning online the night before. It’s not the most central location, but there’s a tram stop right outside and it’s easy to get anywhere by tram.

Breakfast was a highlight for me, especially the range of breads, from hearty whole grain loaves to pastries and artisanal rolls. Fresh toppings, cheeses and cold cuts rounded it out, so there was something for different tastes. My room at Hotel Scandic Holberg was spotless and roomy, with space to unpack and relax. The bathroom was just as spacious, with modern fixtures and plenty of counter space. The central location made it easy to explore Oslo, and the staff were friendly and ready with help or recommendations. I had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return.
