The Apartments Company - Majorstuen

A great option in a beautiful part of Oslo. It’s new, clean, and fully equipped, and I highly recommend it. If a larger apartment is available, I’d consider spending a bit more for that.

A very clean and secure place, with a large bathroom, living and sleeping area, nice kitchens, balcony, and roof deck. This B and B is an easy-to-reach studio set up like a fully equipped live-in apartment, and getting the key was simple. It sleeps two and is about five blocks from a well-stocked small market. Some cutlery and dishes were missing.

It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the light rail, with a few places to eat nearby. The unit was very clean and quite comfortable, and everything worked, including the internet. I’m not keen on having one side of the bed against the wall. A quick warning about parking: the machine doesn’t issue a ticket, so it’s hard to tell whether it worked or how much time you have. On the second day I got a 600 krone ticket while trying to check my entry time. I must have cancelled the parking by mistake without realizing it.

The apartment was clean and in a nice area, and the Wi-Fi was good. But the layout didn’t impress me, and there’s only one small heater for the whole place, so it gets cold. The bathroom gets really wet and could use bath mats, and more towels would help too.
