The room was quite good, and the bed was excellent, though the pillow and duvet weren't as comfortable. We could hear a lot of noise from an event in the hall downstairs. Breakfast was good, but the coffee machine was broken and there wasn't a replacement, so black filter coffee was the only option. Staff weren't especially friendly overall, and service could be a little better.

We meant to stay one night in a suite in the old part of the hotel, but it felt so cozy and homey that we ended up staying three. I really don't understand the low reviews. The place hosts so many guests, yet it was impressively well maintained. The restaurant, reception and breakfast area were all spotless, and every staff member we met was professional, kind and attentive. Breakfast was a highlight, with loads of healthy choices: fresh salads, smoothies, muesli, fruit, fish, meat, cheeses, plus excellent vegan and gluten-free options. The coffee machine was top-notch too. There's also a well-equipped gym, which was a great extra. One morning our dog Blue jumped out of the hotel window and came to find us at breakfast. The staff stayed calm, gently walked him out and kindly tried to find his “owners.” Such a sweet moment, and it says a lot about how caring they are. We met some lovely fellow travelers at the outdoor tables, and they even took us to see the nearby marble castle. This place is a hidden gem, and we'd happily come back.

We arrived around midnight in mid-July 2025 and only stayed a short night at this basic Scandic hotel in Mo i Rana. It was full, which was hard to miss at the chaotic breakfast. Luckily, the weather was exceptionally nice, so we could escape the crowd of bikers and small children by going out into the garden. The room was OK, though it was missing a few things, including a long shoehorn and a bath mat. Service was just OK too.

A pretty run-down country hotel. There's no AC, and the windows don't open. For this situation, the hotel shares advice such as drinking water. Breakfast is good.

The rooms were lovely, the food was excellent, and the staff were especially friendly and helpful. Our group arrived well after normal dinner time because of a delay, but a team of waitresses was waiting for us with delicious submarine-style sandwiches and amazing brownies. The beds were incredibly soft, and the breakfast buffet had a big range of food and drinks, all of it tasty. I'd recommend this hotel any time you're near Mo i Rana.
