Having its own parking lot is almost a luxury in Norway. Breakfast was very good and freshly prepared. The rooms could use better insulation, though, since a cold draft comes in through the windows in winter.

There are lots of lovely sights near the hotel, and in the evening you can make your own waffles. I found it quiet and cozy, with a good breakfast. The tea time was priceless.

The staff were exceptionally helpful with my requests, and breakfast was practically brunch: a self-serve spread with a full English breakfast, smoked salmon, different fruits and vegetables, ham, cheese, and more. The location is good, close to the station, and the rooms were clean and fine.

The place itself is beautiful. But arriving at 6 p.m. to find the rooms still not ready, then hearing the kitchen chef say fish counts as vegetarian food, made it clear something was seriously wrong.
