Arctic Homes - Tromsø Residence

Mathias was a great host, kind, proactive, and quick to help. Clear communication and the early check-in made the stay even better. The apartment at Harmony Retreat was spotless, comfortable, and well cared for, with everything thoughtfully set out to make us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. We'd confidently recommend it to anyone visiting Tromsø and would happily come back.

I booked Arctic Homes in Oct 2025. A family member developed heart disease in late November, so on 8 December, more than a month before check-in, I asked to change the stay dates or cancel. I attached the dates and hospital document in my email. Throughout December, I tried contacting them myself and through agoda, sending more than 10 emails with medical support. agoda also called Arctic Homes more than 10 times. They gave no response until January, when they refused both a date change and cancellation. Another hotel offered us a date change. I found Arctic Homes inconsiderate and inhuman, and don't recommend booking with them.

My family member has heart disease and needs a long hospital stay, so we couldn't travel to Tromso as planned in January 2026. In early December 2025, I asked Arctic Homes to move my stay to later in the year or cancel it. Even with hospital medical documents, they refused both options. Another hotel offered to change my dates, so I'm very disappointed with Arctic Homes. I hope travelers see this and stay alert. I don't recommend booking here.

This is a perfect spot for a family getaway in downtown Tromso. The only thing to keep in mind is that the unit is in the basement, so you have to carry your luggage downstairs. There's no lift. Otherwise, it's perfect.
