Bispegata 5 Apartment hotel

The apartment we stayed in was wonderful in every way. It was cozy, clean, well heated, and equipped with everything we needed and then some. The location was quiet but close to everywhere we wanted to go in Tromsø's small visitor area, with several nice supermarkets nearby. We were impressed by how the place is run. You don't usually see anyone unless you want to, since they aren't always on site, but the person looking after you is easy to contact and responds quickly and efficiently. It really felt like our home in Tromsø, with our own very decent 'hired help.' Thank you for everything, Wenche! This is the best place to stay in Tromsø. Hotels charge prices that, in my view, aren't objectively justified. There are a lot of them, they aren't especially fantastic, and they offer services many guests don't use, so those guests end up paying for services used by others. Their rooms are also much smaller than what you can get in a hotel-apartment like this for half the price or less. We'd also considered another hotel-apartment, which I'll leave unnamed because I'm not a 'mean' person. It doesn't compare in price per square footage or location, and I didn't like the way they communicated with potential clients. I book all our hotels via hoptels.com, and this was the first time one, namely that other hotel-apartment in Tromsø, tried to go around the hotels.com system and deal with me directly. They were pushy about it, too.

The shower was amazing, and the place was clean, new, comfortable, and very warm. A great place to stay, with everything within walking distance.
