The large double bed was really comfortable, and the room had plenty of space, though it was pretty basic. The cathedral and port are each about 15 minutes away on foot. The complimentary dinner and breakfast were basic too. A pricey place for a stopover.

They’ve stopped using Rituals products, but the replacement soap, shampoo, and lotion smell nice and feel gentle on the skin. My room was clean, spacious, and well equipped, and the hotel has a cosy, almost at-home feeling. I stayed in winter and loved the cute, very Christmasy decorations in the reception and dining area ❄️🎅🏼 The location is walkable to attractions and Trondheim S. There’s complimentary buffet breakfast, fika, tea, coffee, juice, and even dinner. It was proper hot food and soup, not just the bare minimum 👏🏻 The staff were welcoming and accommodating. I’ll definitely return if I visit Trondheim again 😊

We stayed from 4-6 Oct, and the location was perfect, right in the city centre near Nidarosdomen, restaurants, shops, havna, and togstasjon. There’s no hotel parking lot, but plenty of parking nearby. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the included afternoon coffee and cake, buffet dinner, and breakfast. The cinnamon buns and chocolate cake were nice. One evening there was braised pork with mashed potatoes and vegetables, then later it seemed they served turkey and kjøttkaker after that ran out. The next dinner was Tex Mex with rice or lefse, vegetables, salad, and bread, though there was no gluten-free bread. We had room 602. It was a good size for a standard room, with a clean bathroom and Rituals products that made me want to shower lots 😊 The view was mostly sky and rooftops, which was fine. The bed and hotel pillows were really comfortable, with ordinary cotton sheets. The decorative pillows needed washing, and the classic chairs could use some cleaning and new upholstery, but were still nice to sit on. The TV was a good size and had some channels, though it’d be nice if hotels offered Chromecast too. Breakfast had lots of good choices, and the hot chocolate was one of the best ever 😊 Overall, a very nice hotel.

Breakfast, afternoon tea (fika), and dinner were all delicious, and the location is ideal for exploring the city. We were there on one of Norway’s hottest days. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, which usually wouldn’t be a problem, but the staff were very gracious and accommodating when we made requests. A special shoutout to Natalie, who helped us move to a room with a window that opened fully at the end of her shift.
