The rooms are simple, clean, and practical, with a cozy historic character to the building and quiet shared spaces. Staff are often friendly and ready to help. I also really liked how calm it felt despite being so central. Nidaros Cathedral is right nearby, and the city center, museums, and river are all an easy walk away. Breakfast stands out too: generous, fresh, carefully prepared, and made with good ingredients and plenty of choice. A comfortable, peaceful place for people who care about atmosphere, history, and a great breakfast more than luxury.

I used their luggage storage service and sent a cabin bag from Oslo to the hostel. It was delivered there, but by the time I arrived in Trondheim it had gone missing, either lost or stolen on their premises. Four months later, I still haven't received a refund, and they don't respond to my emails or messages. The worst customer service I've ever had.

I never stayed here, but it was a wonderful place to begin my pilgrimage to Nidaros. Ingeborg was so kind and helpful that she made me want to return and start another pilgrimage, this time earning my St Olav Pilgrimage certificate. I bought several memorial items to give the visit more meaning, and I hope I can make the journey again.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay. The people there were friendly and helpful, gave us a good cycling website tip, and helped sort out our parking problem. We're very thankful!

After finishing the Gudbrandsdalsleden, this was a great place to end up. Nidaros cathedral is close by, and the staff were amazing, going out of their way to help. The rooms are practical and very clean, and both breakfast and the other food were really tasty. Definitely a good choice.
