The hotel was clean and warm, with a pleasant buzz, and breakfast was amazing. There was an incredible range of morning dishes to set us up for a day in Norway. We only stayed one night, but I wish we'd had more time. The location was perfect for us since we were traveling on the Havila boat from the port, just a 15-minute walk away. I'd stay again.

We were completely happy with our stay. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and breakfast was splendid. Calling it “The best breakfast in Norway” is absolutely deserved :) We'll definitely be back.

We loved the location, close to the city center, central station and airport bus. Breakfast had a very nice selection, though it was very expensive to invite family to join us. The mattresses didn't suit us.

The rooms left me a bit disenchanted. A lot of the interior looks worn, with dirty, scraped doorways that badly need fresh paint. The bathroom tiles could use a thorough scrub, though the bathroom was still quite okay. The TV is big and works well, but the tangle of cables looks ugly. Maybe keeping things maintained is difficult without the expense of closing off a floor or section, but as a guest I felt the lack of attention to detail. I do love the location and breakfast. It's a well-deserved best breakfast buffet in Norway, though try Britannia too if you get the chance.

The stay was good in general, but pretty basic. The location was nice and breakfast superb. Be careful with your room choice: without a sea view, you might face another room or even the lobby interior. Our first room was outdated, with a window onto the hotel's corridor. The second one was renovated and had a sea view, but cost more. The staff were okay, though not especially friendly or helpful.
